Scott Wise graduated from Johnson Atelier in Mercerville, New Jersey, Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee where he studied under the renowned Olen Bryant, and The Blackheath School of Art in London, England.

Wise carves directly in stone and models clay to be cast in bronze. His sculptures of the human form, whether miniature, life-size, or monumental, abstract or realistic, manage to convey a visual/tactile experience to which viewers directly respond.

He has work in private collections all over the United States and as far as Australia. His published work includes commissions by Vanderbilt Childrens’ Hospital, Montgomery County Government, Clarksville, Tennessee, Austin Peay State University, Nashville Public Library, and the Tennessee Fallen Firefighter Memorial Committee among many others.
